9/26/05 - Over the weekend we received our information packet and registration/reservation forms from Talent Olympics. I've highlighted some of the more important info on the Talent Olympics page. Please note the deadline dates! For those of you planning to stay at the resort, please pick up reservation forms ASAP ... you only get the discounted rates with this form which must be mailed!
you have until Friday, October 21 to turn in your orders, so there is still plenty of time to get involved!
9/22/05 - A couple of things for today!
today, in a wide range of colors! Our warm-ups, however, will still be in purple and white! If you're interested in purchasing a warm-up for the holidays, please get your order in ASAP ... I'd like to get an order in by the end of October to avoid last year's backorder situation!
Light and Shadow Photography: Just a note from the Bamper's ... there are still a few people that haven't ordered their pictures. There is no rush, but if you are having problems with the website, please give them a call at 733-2221 and they'd be happy to help!
Another note regarding pictures ... Mr. Bamper will be taking Christmas photos right after Halloween. Photos will be by appointment (not only for dancers!) and will be taken here at the studio. Keep watching for a Christmas display and his schedule!
9/20/05 - Lots of odds and ends to discuss today!
Fundraising: The Enjoy the City books have arrived! If you're interested in participating in this fundraiser you can pick up your sample kit in the Let's Dance office!
New York City: Please remember to bring in your 50% deposits by September 28th as I have to make down payments on our bus and tickets by the 30th ($55 per seat). The bus is almost full ... we've had a great response
this year! I will check on a second bus if there is enough interest ... please get to me quickly as tickets for "The Nutcracker" sell very fast!
Talent Olympics: I should be receiving information regarding the December competition within a couple of days. They will be sending reservation forms for the resort, which will give us discounted rates! If you'd like to visit the resort, click on the falling snow! I do have a map of the resort in the office ... I can't scan it into the computer as it's too big, but stop in if you'd like to see it!
Let's Dance Warm-Up: Several people have contacted me regarding the warm-ups ... I have been in touch with the manufacturers, and we will be receiving samples for sizing within a couple of days! Be watching for the display and pricing information in the side studio!

Regarding the trip to NYC: We have a price for the tickets, including bus fare ... $110 per seat! I was amazed that it wasn't more, but the ticket was less than last year and the bus was more so it evened itself out! I need to know if you're planning to go ASAP in order to confirm the bus ... down payments aren't due until September 28th, however. More information here ....
9/14/05 - We've received an update on the Manhattan Dance Project workshop. The weekend has been changed, and will now take place in Batavia on November 5th and 6th. And that's it for today!
9/13/05 - We now have times and registation forms for Darrin's Dance Grooves! The workshop will occur Sunday, October 2, 2005 from 1-4p.m. in Emerson Suites, Phillips Hall, Ithaca College. At the top of this page you can download a copy of the registration form. A special discounted price is available if you register by Friday, September 23rd. Many of you know Darrin as one of the hottest choreographers today. He has worked with many of the most popular dancers, stars, singers, and he recently released Darrin's Dance Grooves Part 2. He also starred in the television series Soul Food as the character Lem. Darrin is currently working on a new feature film.

9/11/05 - It's great to see all of you again after our very hot summer! We have tons of agenda items to go over ... I will be updating the website on a daily basis now (after my summer lapse) and will get the Updates page back to functioning right away!
New Online Calendar: Dance-outs are first as we have several this month, both studio and Ring of Chiarraighe. But first, there is a new link on the homepage to a calendar of studio events ... it's a great little online calendar that is printable (but I will continue to post these events on the opening and Ring of Chiarraighe pages as well). Eventually I will also have all calendar events linked to info on the website. Sometimes the calendar can be a little cantankerous, so you might have to click twice ... but that could be my computer, too!
Fundraising: The new 2006 Enjoy the City coupon book is the next subject. If you are interested, now is the time to get going! We have a competition coming up in December, plus lots of other activities. Please let me know as soon as possible if you'd like to sell the books again this year. We can get them in now before other organizations get the market!
Competition: Yes, we're going to a competition! We will be attending the Talent Olympics, which takes place in the Poconos the first weekend of December. Be watching for a link to more information!
Please note that your dancer should be at least 10 and involved in competitive classes to attend.
Darrin's Dance Grooves: Darrin is coming back for a return engagement at Ithaca College on October 2! Great for hiphoppers and relatively inexpensive! A fun afternoon for dancers 10 and over ... some hiphop experience is a plus!
New York City: This year we are planning to attend "The Nutcracker" by the New York City Ballet! As this pro-duction is only available during the Christmas season, we are looking at the second weekend of December. I will get pricing info up soon as we need to book early!
The Let's Dance Warm-Up: We're getting on this project right away! Last year we ended up in a backorder situation, so we're starting early this year! Be watching for the samples to try on and pricing information soon!
